Where To Start

The easiest way is to book a trial lesson (see the TRIAL LESSON/GIFT VOUCHER page). This is the starting point for most flying careers. It gives you the opportunity to experience the excitement of flying and actually take control of an aircraft without obligation or commitment. If you decide to continue with a PPL course, this introductory session will count towards your course total.

What Happens Next?

If you feel that flying is for you and you wish to move to the next stage, discuss the course with an instructor to fully understand the financial commitment and the demands on your time. Then, before spending any money, visit an approved medical examiner (list provided by the Club) to make sure there are no medical reasons to prevent you from holding a pilot's licence. Armed with a medical certificate, you can now plan your flying training. Do remember that ground school and examinations are part of the course and that continuity will save you money.

Pricing

All prices are based on the following hourly rates but it should be noted that they are fully inclusive of VAT/landing fees etc. There are no hidden extras and flying time is maximised by the relatively uncongested facilities enjoyed at Old Buckenham.
