INTRODUCTORY PILOT FLIGHTS
OUR INTRODUCTORY PILOT FLIGHTS ARE CONDUCTED IN OUR PA28 AIRCRAFT, THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT THAT YOU WOULD USE IF YOU EMBARKED ON THE FULL TRAINING PROGRAMME. THE INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT COUNTS TOWARDS THE MINIMUM 45 HOURS TRAINING THAT ALL PILOTS MUST UNDERTAKE.
The Introductory Pilot Flight puts you in the Captains Seat from the beginning. Taking the left hand cockpit seat you will be taken through the basics of aircraft control, once the basics have been established you will take control of the aircraft, whilst under the watchful eye and supervision of our instructors.
This 40 minute period is an opportunity for you to make an initial decision as to your comfort in the cockpit and of course over 1000 feet above the ground. This time also provide our instructors an opportunity to asses your aptitude for flying, and it enables us to establish an initial opinion on your ability to pass the course.
If after your 40 minute flight you decide flying is not for you, that’s fine, its not for everyone, however you will be able to tell your friends and family that you once sat in the captains seat of an aircraft and took the controls! This is not something that is offered as part of a standard Flight Experience.
If like many of us, that first 40 minutes is not enough, then we advise that you look in detail at the Flight Training section of our website, which will hopefully help you on your way. If however the first 40 minutes whet your appetite but did not convince you, then we suggest you register for a further Trial Lesson.
A trial Lesson provides you an opportunity (now you know what to expect) to spend an hour with an instructor helping you make that final decision.
